POSITION TITLE AND SCOPE:
This position will manage the accounting team and its day to day operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. The role will contribute to the organization's success by optimizing processes and delivering high-quality results. This position will report to the C.F.O.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the month-end close process, including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and reconciliations.
- Supervise and guide the accounting department, supporting their development and ensuring clear communication of expectations.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and critical financial transactions.
- Collaborate with various departments to support financial forecasting, audits, and operational enhancements.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and coordinate year-end audit activities when required.
- Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Oversees and manages all monthly transactions for Japan, EU, and Australia, ensuring that all banking and credit cards systems linked to overseas transactions are working and in compliance with the international markets.
- Work with the CFO to assure compliance with all tax and corporate filing requirements.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- In conjunction with the CFO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, with 5 – 7 years of accounting managerial experience. Industry experience preferred. Combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Lead, manage and develop accounting team.
- Experience in Oracle and GL Wand is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and willingness to look for ways to improve and promote processes.
