POSITION TITLE AND SCOPE:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and supporting a timely and accurate month-end close. This role manages a small team (A/P, A/R, and Inventory Control) and works closely with the CFO to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company policies.
This is a hands-on role focused on execution, team support, and maintaining efficient accounting processes. This position will report to the C.F.O.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Position requires to sit, stand, walk, bend reach and kneel. Lift from 15 to 20 Lbs. Occasionally.

Noise, dust, lightning, temperature, and physical/ergonomic hazards are typically of those usually found in an office environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Supervise daily activities of the accounting team (A/P, A/R, Inventory), providing guidance and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
- Review key transactions and reconciliations to maintain accuracy of the general ledger
- Support the CFO in preparing monthly financial statements and internal reporting
- Assist with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests as needed
- Maintain and improve existing accounting processes and workflows for efficiency and consistency
- Coordinate routine accounting activities related to international transactions (Japan, EU, Australia), working within established processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and organizing financial data
- Ensure compliance with company policies and assist with tax and filing requirements under CFO direction

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience; prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience reviewing reconciliations and journal entries
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small team environment
- Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting systems (Oracle experience a plus, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
